Philanthropist to provide shelter for widows, orphans

A Ghanaian philanthropist, Carolina Quist, is putting up a multi-purpose centre to provide shelter, education and vocational skills to orphans and widows within the Dodowa catchment area.The project, when completed, will include education facilities from nursery to the junior high school level as well as accommodation and vocational training centres aimed at equipping widows with requisite skills to cater for themselves.During the sod-cutting for the commencement of the building complex, Madam Quist, who is also a former student of the Ghanatta Secondary School, said her gesture was an opportunity to give back to a community that had given her a means for her livelihood.
