Our Team

Village of God's Children is governed by a group of  non-compensated Board of Directors. The Board oversees the strategic and financial health of the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the vision and mission of VGC are achieved.

Caroline Naa Kwaley Quist - Founder & President

Caroline Quist is the founder and president of the village of God's children (VGC) at Dodowa in Ghana. She is a qualified Nurse with over 16 years of immense experience. Caroline has rich capability in pediatrics, gerontology and hospice care.

 

She has lived and served her community in the field of nursing over 20 years in the United States of America. Her special love for children gave birth to Village of God's children in Ghana.

 

While in the United States, she attended the school of Nursing in Prince William County, Manassas, Virginia and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Caroline is a dedicated mother of four boys and 4 grandchildren

Pearl Akosah - Vice President

Pearl Akosah is an international development consultant with fifteen years hands-on experience in Africa and the United States. She has provided consulting services to local and international nonprofits,including CNFA,Washington, DC. Pearl served as Program Director for Nascent Solutions,where she provided leadership in organizational strategy, proposal writing and program management. Prior to joining Nascent, she headed up the MTN Ghana Foundation. She identified and actively cultivated strategic partnerships with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP),Government of Ghana’s Ministries of Health and Education, and the US Academy for Educational Development (AED), for the development of high-impact health and education projects.

 

Pearl has a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ghana Business School and a BA (Hons) degree in Economics and French from the K.N. University of Science and Technology in Ghana. She is also a Fellow of Harvard Kennedy School’s Edward S. Mason Program in Public Policy and Management. Pearl speaks French. She is married to Roland Akosah and they are blessed with one son.

Cherif Memene - Treasurer

Cherif Memene brings more than 15 years in diverse tax, accounting, finance, insurance and business consulting experience and has worked extensively with small to medium sized businesses. He enjoys working with clients, putting an emphasis on creating sound bookkeeping systems, preparation of financial statements, payroll, income tax planning & preparation, and business consultation. Certified tax practitioner and accountant by profession, Cherif Memene has a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and in Accounting (MSA). 

 

He is an enrolled agent (EA) admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and candidate for the Masters of Science of Law in International Taxation. Cherif is also a licensed insurance agent with active appointments for Property & Casualty, Health and Life & Annuities in the states of Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia. He owns Global Insurance Agency, LLC. Cherif’s greatest professional achievement is the rapport he’s established and maintained with his business clients. They depend on him and he thrives on exceeding their expectations.

Rev. Charles Tetteh - Country Director

Rev. Charles Tawiah Tetteh is an ordained Reverend Minister. He heads a Branch of the premier Charismatic Church in Ghana, Action Chapel International. Rev. Tetteh is not only a minister but also has a background in engineering. He is the founder of Rural Outreach and Aid Mission (ROAM). ROAM is a group of highly skilled professionals, who work to improve the lives of the underprivileged through evangelism and developmental projects in the rural communities of Ghana.

 

Rev. Tetteh has spear headed many developmental projects in the ten regions of Ghana, including the popular Compassion in Action (CIA) project which provided schools, boreholes, computer laboratories and public libraries for rural communities in Ghana.

 

He is happily married to Jane and they are blessed with four children.

Rev. Charles Tetteh believes that, the number of lives one has touched and transformed through love and care measures a man’s worth.

George Tamakloe - Board Member

Mr. Tamakloe is involved in agribusiness in Ghana. His business, Millennium Hedge Commodities and partners contract with small farmers across West Africa to expand their ability to access international markets. Prior to starting his business.

 

Mr. Tamakloe worked as an Investigative Analyst with the State of Connecticut’s Department of Social Services, Child Support Division in the United States.

 

He is a graduate of Trinity College in Connecticut, and attended Stanford Business School.
